There is a very lonesome brown pelican on Lake Virginia we just saw close to a comorant trying to get some attension. He appears to be lost and does not know how to find salt water.

This is not the bird organization site. However, Birds wondering into new territories is part species expand their territory and find new habitats. It's common enough the birds are found out of their normal environment that it's called an accidental or a stray. Nothing to worry about unless he's in danger, he'll move on in time!
