Just wanted to comment on the latest post by Rob Crum. He's correct, in that the marina is very nice. The Dock Master's office and supporting staff are outstanding and long-lived. They do their jobs, which is not pandering to visitor nor live-aboard complaints. They're Dock Masters, not babysitters. His comments about "junk boats" and a "homeless shelter" are completely out-of-line, The people living here are some of the friendliest, most caring, outgoing, helpful, brave individuals I have met in my 61-years on this planet. They are truly a rare breed. Yes, someone guzzling a beer in the morning wearing panties and a fruit salad on their head is not uncommon. That would be me ...this is Key West after all. By-the-by, leaving a dog on-board your vessel while you are away is a non sequitur, not welcome, and a tell-tail of animal cruelty. There are pets left alone at times, but not as guard-dogs, Mr. Crum...
