Just saying. If you come with a family 👪 you don't carry cash around like an armored truck. You pull out the 💳 card . I would think the museum could make a lot more profits if they accepted the card. We passed it up because we didn't want to go find an out-of-network ATM & pay their service fees for cash 💸 . especially after we had already found & paid for parking. In this day and age there are just very FEW places that refuse credit card anymore. you don't expect it 😱
Money is used to maintain the premises and the cats. Be GLAD this exists and it was such an amazing great place.
Hemingway didn't accept credit cards
That's a great question... I know cash isn't necessarily taxed, so it's value is added... with a place that's struggling and in need of monetary support, "cash is king" - this is true for ANY business... large, small, legal, illegal... it's also a LOT less complicated compared to waiting on credit card companies to get paid- AND the fees they charge for their services...
I agree, no better answer.
I don’t believe they are always cash only. They may be having trouble with their payment system…. But they also may have gone cash only due to fees.
I’m assuming because card machines take fees, not sure other than that.
