Veterans First is not an affiliate of the VA either. They just use "Veterans" in their name to try and sell VA home loans. They use other shady tactics too and make errors on Titles, don't pay property taxes out of your escrow account and other mistakes, so be very careful.
No, they are not affiliated. Veterans First had been privately owned until January 2018, when it was sold to Wintrust Finacial as a subsidiary of Wintrust Mortgage.
