A short drive east of Salt Lake City on I-80 tucked away in the side of the mountain is a slice of golfing heaven, with two different sets of holes. Quiet, breath taking, challenging, and yet very approachable. Your good walk will not be ruined at this well maintained and well equipped golf course.

Plan on donating golf balls to the surrounding trees and long grass. Wear long pants if you insist on going into the thick stuff to get them though. If you do find the fairway it is an amazing experience and you feel great getting that hard earned par.

No dogs are allowed in Little and Big Cottonwood Canyon, City Creek Canyon, Emigration Canyon, Parley's Canyon (north & east of Mountain Dell Reservoir), Little and Big Willow Creek and South Fork of Dry Creek because it is part of critical watershed for Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County. There last weekend 2/7 there was at least a foot of snow now I suspect it's down somewhat
Yes it's a public course, as are all the courses in the SL CITY system. It's a gorgeous course! There are two: the Lake and the Canyon. BONNEVILLE golf course I would also recommend highly.
