Best campground within 35 minutes of downtown SLC. High elevation, pretty pine trees, streams, and wildlife. Short walk to Solitude Ski Area mountain village. Great way to escape the summer heat without having to spend all day driving. Usually lots of moose and deer, situational awareness recommended. We even found this Tiger Salamander.

The only way I have been able o get a site is to show up and hope one is open. Ive never been able to get anyone on th phone. I've been lucky so far and been able to get a site by showing up and driving through. The camp hosts are super nice in person though.
