Hi Cori, as others have noted, the electric pedal assist makes the journey almost effortless. Only one person (seated in the 'stop/go seat) has to pedal to engage the motor, and there is very little effort required to pedal - it is really just rotating the pedals to trigger the motor. If you are concerned, please let the staff know and they can position you near the front or rear guide explorer, who would be happy to help out.

I went with a group of 4. Almost no one needed to pedal at all as long as the battery operator was pedalling. We all did occasionally because it was a nice way to stretch our legs. You should be fine.

You should be fine, but if you call the Rail Explorers, I'm sure staff would be happy to confirm or answer any questions. From personal experience, pedaling helps minimize drain on the battery powered assist, but the entire trip out is downhill, very easy, and return trip battery assist can probably handle the difference if your parents can't help much.

Cori, it is super easy to pedal. One of the back spots controls the pedal assist. Basically whoever sits there does the work and it's very minimal work.
