They list adoptable animals on the website. Some animals are there, but not yet ready for adoption, so they won't be listed on the website.
You have to actually go and see for yourself. Which will require repeat visits.
You will have to call humane society for answers like that. I am a fellow adopter.

You can call and ask but you have to be there i person to get what you want. And they watch you interact with the animal.
The website has the available animals and their locations listed. When we went to get our cat, they had about 5 that were not ready for adoption due to scheduled surgeries or recovery from surgery, but we could see them and the date they would be ready. So I agree that you may have to check the site and actual locations for updated info. I'm not sure if there is a way to get a notification if a specific breed comes in, but it can't hurt ti check.
