Do staff show first timer what to do

Not that I know of but they do have training courses.

They'll show you how to operate your firearm. The staff I've interacted with have been very helpful.

First time using a firearm or at the Range? I think they would if you tell them you're a beginner/new to the Range. If at the Range you have to watch a 8mins video and that give you a sense of the Range and others. As Nick Z stated they do offer Training Courses so that's a plus.
