To my surprise, being someone who was never incarcerated as a minor or an adult, I was impressed, as far as detention centers go, with the cleanliness, the whole look of the place, along with the smiling faces and kindness of the staff. The staff members I deal with always seem to truly care for these kids. The environment even curved some of my child’s more volatile behaviors and even mindset, compared to our experience with crisis centers attended. I genuinely thank the staff from the bottom of my heart for all they do for the kids in there.
