My hp laptop while doing an update restarted and I got a bit locker screen requestng some input code? Unable to do anything other than shut down. Help!

Interesting. I had a desktop with windows 7 that worked in safe mode. Hal fixed it and put windows 10 on it. Hal is very honest and will answer that question.
