Hours* and was your reason to visit an emergency or a check up?
Just because you're the third person there means nothing. They take cases in order of importance, ie, based on how critical they are. Belly aches and headaches take a back seat to real emergencies.
Knowing the nature of your visit would be helpful. In emergency medicine someone having a severe allergic reaction whose airway is in danger of closing might take priority over a gunshot wound. This seems counter intuitive when you're in the stress moment but there's saying in the medical world "breather before the bleeder".
I really understand that very severe cases who enter the E.R. room have to get priority over less severe cases. I waited 3.1/'2 hours..then just had to leave and go else where. Maybe they can eventually have an e.r. for very severe cases and another for serious ...cases who also have to wait ..but get their turn..according to sign in time. waiting for hours and hours with no prediction how long one can be there ..due to not knowing what kind of accidents etc, will arrive )..is enough to worsen the less severe conditions many people have. Weat shore is still in its infancy ..in many respects ..but I have confidence the E.R WILL BRING ABOUT A MORE HUMANE PROCEEDURE.
