Hi Kay, if you ever have this situation recur, please consider Hope Alliance as well. Like SAFE Austin, HA assists women and others whose lives have been affected by domestic violence/trauma/abuse. Clients often need clothes they can wear to court, interviews, etc and many have left a situation with nothing but whatever they and their kids had at a time of crisis. They have a donations person and a clothes/toiletries/accessories/essentials closet for the women and small children.
You may want to try a Facebook group called " Buy Nothing" There should be one for your geographical area. My wife post's stuff with them. I think this would be the perfect place for you to help others in need.
