Tried to donate a bunch of never worn t-shirts and socks, but they would not take them because they had logos on them. Pretty stupid in my opinion because now boxes and boxes of good clothes will be just thrown away that could have been used by needy people.

You can donate clothes at the Round Rock Service Center. People in need of clothes can get a clothing voucher for the thrift store next door by applying online.

Hi Kay, if you ever have this situation recur, please consider Hope Alliance as well. Like SAFE Austin, HA assists women and others whose lives have been affected by domestic violence/trauma/abuse. Clients often need clothes they can wear to court, interviews, etc and many have left a situation with nothing but whatever they and their kids had at a time of crisis. They have a donations person and a clothes/toiletries/accessories/essentials closet for the women and small children.
Very rarely do we save pillows or Padding to sell. But there is a pastor that gives that type of stuff to homeless. Just tell us it's for church under the bridge.

Try calling and talking to someone at The Round Rock serving center. Or Saint Vinvent DePaul. The Apple Creek apts on Gattis school and the Creek apts off 79 are low income. The Villas at corner of Aw Grimes and Gattis School are super easy to get into and go completely off your income. I wish you luck I myself lived at Extended stay for over a year and it is hard to get out once you are paying that high dollar rent for such a terrible place.also call ext stay customer service ask for the ext price and tell them you will be there 6 months price goes down at least 500=600 $
I think you need a bill, a copy of your lease or place of residence and maybe your ID. You can call them and they will tell you what you need to bring.
