Our regular appointments are booked out for several weeks, when a client calls for an emergency we give them a time frame based on how long we think the wait will be. We do not have actual emergency visit times as it is on an as-needed basis. The time frame given when a client calls is based on the schedule and if we are already double or triple booked with other emergencies. This is why a client may come in at 3 pm for their emergency visit, but not be seen until 4 pm. All clients are charged an emergency fee because the appointment is being squeezed in which results in staff not getting breaks and working past their shifts. While we appreciate all the clients, we charge our regular clients (those who get their vaccines and wellness exams here) a lower emergency fee than a non-client as a thank you for their trust in us."
Yes this is why we had mixed reviews. Our vet at home was appalled to hear this as they make time at thier regular prices to see patients. But in all fairness these vets are available 24/7... If only there was insurance for this emergency prices.
