Possibly a stupid question but lets say I went to guitar center and the guitar is out of tune and I'm not a good tuner would it be wrong to ask a staff member to tune it?

I always bring my mini snark with me. Sure the staff will do it but its a pain to ask for every other guitar you pick up.

Technically it's their product, so I would think they shouldn't have an issue doing that. There are lots of videos on YouTube about tuning a guitar also.

No it wouldn't be wrong I'm sure they would be glad to help you the staff is very friendly and a lot of them are musicians

They were very helpful with me so I'd say that tuning an instrument wouldn't be a problem. At my store I'm able to tune a guitar under a minute unless it's a double locking system.
