Jeff. If you're looking to do a lease purchase, choose wisely. I did do a lease purchase with a very good, reputable company. I can tell you this, if you have personal debt, i.e. mortgage payment, car loan, medical payment, credit cards what have you, add to that the payment on average weekly of a truck. Yes, weekly payment of over 500.00. Not to mention the fluctuation of fuel. Sure, you'll get a company discount, you'll get a surcharge, but all expenses are yours. Tires, brakes, D.E.F. repairs. One particulate filter if not properly maintained ...3k +. So, make sure you're ready to work. Are you willing to stay out for more then two weeks at a time, be prepared to save 25% of your income for quarterly taxes, as you are an owner operator, also, most companies require you to put money into a maintenance escrow. So your bottom line sits much closer to the bottom with any personal debt. Do not go with a company that would charge you for extras.
