The Eno can be accessed in several places. At the end of the Cameron Street access to the Riverwalk there is an old path that leads down to a waist deep swimming hole. Great place for little kids to swim just above an old ice Mill Dam. There's also access to a deeper swimming hole upriver from the end of the Riverwalk. People of all ages can be found there all summer long jumping off of rocks, swimming, and swinging from a rope swing.
There are accesses to the Eno River, but you and your children are responsible if getting hurt when swimming any place in the river. You are swimming at your own risk.
