Green card renewal

Waladli I am | Oct 30, 2021

You have 3 options 1) While waiting for the test date, do nothing else and hopefully your test and oath ceremony is within 3 months. 2) Apply for green card renewal which still has a bio metrics and interview appts, but you are able to call USCIS 800 number and advise them of the situation and its a chance they will extend your green card or put a stamp in your current passport to renew DL while you wait for the citizenship test since you already paid for the green card renewal and took the bio metrics for citizenship. 3) If you do not renew the green card and DL and they expire before your citizenship test and Oath ceremony, you will not be able to drive and the DMV will not renew it w/o a valid green card or proof you are allowed to do so. Also note due to COVID-19 wait times are longer (sometimes 3-9 months more), so hopefully you have loved ones, a bff or uber to take you where you need to be.
