Foothills Animal Shelter is an open-admission shelter meaning they take anything and everything within Jefferson County. They do not euthanize for space or time, only for medical needs that they are unable to assist with or behavioral tendencies that can cause a liability to the public.
They are not technically a "no kill facility" but they RARELY have to put an animal down. The dog I have now was there for 6 months
