Since I am flying to NYC the evening of 9/6, and can attend the 8:00 show unless my flight is delayed. Because of this uncertainty, I'd like to buy one ticket at the box office just prior to the performance. Is this feasible/possible?

Anything is possible. I'd call the box office that morning and ask if there are tickets available and how many.

Better to buy on website and download to phone. Should be plenty of singles. Don't go if you miss first 5 minutes tho.
