Actually, Leoard Seppala was the owner of Togo. They and their sled dog team were the ones to run 261 miles. They should have gotten all the fame and glory because they did the hardest part of the journey. But, since Gunnar Kaasen and his team did the last part of the serum race, he and Balto got all the Glory. And Balto wasn’t even his lead dog! Gunnar Kaasen’s lead dog was a Siberian Husky named Fox.
