It takes time to get placed, but you will have to qualify for temporary placement and then permanent housing. It's a long stressful PROCESS.. GOOD LUCK
Possibly you could stay there or they might transfer you.. better to ask the case worker or social worker
You're determined eligible or not eligible. If you're denied and don't agree you can speak to lawyer on site or request a fair hearing
