I had a friend come from NJ and she went through PATH to get her place here in NY. I believe they can't turn you away if you need shelter. Just be prepared for the process. It can take hours. They might try to send you back, but don't let them if you have no place to stay. I don't know what you could tell them, but if NY is where you want housing, make sure they don't jerk you around. Bring ya paperwork and the actual Marshall eviction pink slip. A simple eviction notice or ruling is not sufficient, they will attempt to mediate. Good luck
