The letter I received did not indicate that Dr. Mandell retired. It lacked any specific information regarding why she is no longer with the practice. The lovely receptionist also did not have any information. It seems like a mystery . I’d love to find her just to say goodbye and wish her well. In the meantime, can anyone recommend another female doctor? Thanks and be well.
The address in Hewlett is the same office but no idea of who the 2 new Dr's names are or what they are calling themselves. They do not have late evenings anymore and closed by 4pm on Friday which makes me think orthodox but the pa assistant Elizabeth is a sweetheart. Dr Barbara Mandell is NOW RETIRED and the new guys took over her practice. We did receive notifaction if we want to change Dr's etc a few weeks back. Her last day was March 2 2018
I was shocked that i received no warning that Dr. Mandell was gone. And the answering service only says she is no longer with the practice NOT that she was retiring. I have another doc that switched practices and the old hospital affiliate would not release her patient info without a fight. I wonder if that is the case here. She has been my doc for over 25 years n i just daw her in Dec. She did not mention retirement. This is suspicious.
I was told that Dr Mandell has yet to start a new practice. While someone here said she has retired I do not know that to be a fact
I heard through a mutual accuaintance that Dr.Mandel is looking for a new place to practice medicine, but has yet to find one anywhere.

My mother is a patient of hers also- we have not heard of where and if she will locate elsewhere- very upsetting how this happened- the lack of information
