Thankfully they are now only allowing patients to park in the parking garage. Employees can’t, or at least aren’t supposed to park there anymore. I’ve complained about employees parking there since they opened the garage long ago. So grateful they finally listened!
there are no requirements since there is not enough parking spaces you can also park on the grass and yellow Curves
No requirements I'm aware of but for parking in the handicap, spinal injury and the lot assigned to the valet parking service. Many times I have only found parking by jumping a curb and parking in the grass. It was that or miss an appointment....possibly attempt to wait in the long, slow moving line for valet parking. I allow plenty of time for parking and many times barely make my appointment due to parking. ( if you miss too many, they can kick you out of the V.A. Healthcare enrolled program...so I'm told ). Many times as they have recently started again, the V.A. Police block the grass parking with barricades. I'm told from several sources, the V.A. Police will write you a parking ticket with a fee of $ 85.00 if they deem you broke the rules. If you want to argue the ticket, you must go to the federal court downtown. Of course you could attempt to park in the parking garage...be aware, it is also crowded. Once you reach the top, having found no parking, there's no express exit.
There are no parking requirements. However you cannot park in the SCI parking lot unless you have a spinal cord injury. You cannot park in any of the no parking areas that are clearly marked as well.
