On street parking is free after 6. There are several parking garages if you want sheltered parking. Prices are reasonable. I usually opt for the Double Tree garage and never had an issue.
We parked on the street, so come a bit early to find one.
Just as a fyi, there is always a large police presence downtown when the Opera House has events. It's safe to park anywhere.
There's parking all around the opera house however some parking may require you to pay for some places have meters.
