Does the Romaine lettuce currently on sale come from Arizona? Note the latest CDC warning against eating such lettuce because of eColi traced to a farm in Yuma, AZ. It would be good to know the provenance of the lettuce I bought in Olney on Thursday.

They have romaine that is not pre chopped. Only the pre chopped is a problem. Also, Roots would not put Arizona romaine on the shelf. They are too responsible for that.

And even if it was, all you have to do is cook it. It sautes up great. What's an incredible waste of resources that whole debacle was.

Our romaine is not from Arizona, here is a statement from Taylor Farms about the outbreak: On April 13, 2018, The Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a broad scale public health notice indicating that chopped romaine lettuce from the Yuma, AZ growing region could be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The CDC and public health and regulatory officials in several states are investigating outbreaks in 11 states. There is no indication that any Taylor Farms products were a source, regardless of growing region. To date, Taylor Farms has not been contacted by any federal agencies regarding this matter. No specific product recalls have been initiated. Consumer health and wellbeing is our highest priority. We continuously work to deliver the safest, freshest and highest quality produce and fresh food to promote the health and wellbeing of our customers.
