I’ve been to the Banner Thunderbird ER 4 times since 2003, the last time was this past Wednesday, March 6. Every time I’ve gotten excellent service, from check-in to admittance. The 1st time was for a kidney stone. They gave me pain meds within 15 minutes. The 2nd time was for a gallbladder attack. I was taken right in, given pain meds right away, admitted as soon as they got my blood pressure under control and surgery the next day. The 3rd time was in an ambulance for a bout with vertigo where I was unconscience when they found me. Again, I was taken right in and admitted that afternoon. The last time was for 2 kidney stones. This time the pain had subsided before I checked in, but they still got me a bed within 20 minutes. In every case whenever I pressed the nurse button, one came within minutes. Everyone I came in contact with, including the custodian, was friendly, kind and responsive to my needs. Nothing but good service at Banner Thunderbird.
Unfortunately, according to many reviews they would not care even if you fell..... Just reading the reviews has convinced me to never go there for treatment EVER..... That's sad
This is a ghetto hospital! The nurses sit around and gossip about the patients. They don't give you pain meds on time. I've been waiting for over 4 hrs. The floor doctor doesn't know anything about the patients. I've asked for him and it's been well over an hour. Whoever is in charge creates a hostile environment. They charge you for 2 days for less than a 24 hr. stay. Worst Hospital ever..
So true among other things like refusing medicine you normaly need after surgery
