If I and my husband had some questions about obtaining Social Security disability what would be the best way to present them. Can an appointment be made to meet with a specialist? Thank You!

Yes, you can make an appointment to discuss the process. FYI: Almost everyone gets turned down initially and it takes over a year from filing an appeal to getting the hearing. You may want to also speak to a disability attorney or two (should be able to get a free consultation) before filing. They get part of your "back check(s)" covering the period from filing to approval as their ONLY payment.

Must have disability expected to last one year or longer, be able to provide medical sources, be currently insured through work from paying into SS and cant earn over $1220.0 per month earning more than that means your not disabled.
