I would like to know if I don't have a flight itinerary but plan to rent a vehicle with my Credit card will a deposit be held in addition to the rental amount?

I'm not sure if they will rent a car without a itinerary but they do not take a deposit they only charge you for the rental itself They do not hold anything on your account

They usually will place a deposit on your card at the moment you get the car and return it minus the cost of the rent when you return it.

They will hold a deposit if you use debit card instead of a credit card. So it’s best to use a credit card
