So my mother in law gifted us her car and I need to get title transfer along with registration to get new tag. Do i need to have inspection done first?

He's lis by law know. Need to have INSURANCE and a copy of the INSPECTION RRPORT. Other wise you will ask to come back to the PDS.

I don’t believe so just to title the car in your name. I did it with a motorcycle from my dad. But then to get registered yes to the inspection.
