The reason police officers ask for everyone's ID is just that...to identify who they are dealing with & to see if anyone has any outstanding warrants. (Dean obviously has a bone to pick with law enforcement. Wonder what he'll do when he needs them someday. Don't be like Dean! )
Not everyone relies on law enforcement the way you think. Have never called nor will call. I only responded because your argument is quite common and even if one is critical of the police that doesn't mean that same individual cannot utilize officers. They work for the citzen body. We as citzens can treat them in any manner we choose as free citzens.
