I'd make the reservation in time, because other will try to get it. Please keep in mind that they organize sports events like soccer, etc on the grass in the back. Make sure that the put a post on the gazebo that you are planning to reserve. We had the double booking surprise. I'd ask if anything else is going on at the time you plan to be there.
Once your reservation is confirmed, they send you a permit. The area is yours and you have the right to make others leave. Had to do this at another park area. But the person with the permit wins.
