June, July, and August are scorching. I repeat, it is scorching. I would suggest early May if it's possible. Around Mother's Day. The weather is beautiful that time of year. No restaurants. I'm not sure about catering. It's a scenic loop with an entry fee. There are pull off spots along the loop to park, get out and hike, or just enjoy the views. Just nearby, between the entrance and exit of the national park, off of the highway so there is no entrence fees, is a viewing area with parking called "Red Rock Overlook" ... It's very beautiful and gives views of the entire area. Easy access. I'd totally suggest looking into that area.
It IS a desert. Not much of anything but some trails and mountains. Beautiful hiking
You could bring in food, but catering would probably be a no go. Spring or fall is best, early in the morning.
It is very hot, n very little shed anywhere, no restaurant, catering in there, you would have to call the m first to find out if allowed
We were there in July. Very hot. I would suggest September or October. I doubt you could cater food in due to limited parking. I would call par authority to find out.
