are they opened President's Day? I have read an awful lot about long waits and being turned away... If I wanted to come Monday.. are they closed for lunch? are there some times that are better than others??

Yes they are open on president's day, they do not close for lunch. Try earlier in the day.

Yes they are open, 7am-7 pm. Before 8am is best.
