I believe you would need to be with a member. In fact, I'm relatively certain of it. Google "Lapeer Pit". It's run by the DNR. No membership necessary. There is also a range at Bald Mountain State Park and Ortonville State Park.
Yes you can
Yes
You must be a member or a guest of a member. There is a fee for guest. You could try the range at one of several state parks in the area. There is a daily fee or annual fee to enter the park. Some ranges have range fees as well. There are also several gun shops in the area that have ranges. William's Guns in Davison has both a indoor pistol range and an outdoor shotgun range. There are several other shops in the area that have just indoor ranges. Accurate Arms on Dixie Hwy, Clarkston, Bass Pro shop at Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills. I also believe Target Sports on Woodward has a range as well. There are several others in the area that also have ranges. Google to find out who and where the are located.
I'm sorry but our ranges, (rifle and pistol) are reserved for our members and their guests. However if you are in town when any of our scheduled shoots are going on, you can come in and shoot at that time. Also if you would like to shoot at our Shotgun ranges, a non member may come in and shoot as a guest of the desk worker. Note: Non members pay a higher fee.
Tails a lifetime member Oakland County Sportsmen's Club, I can definitively tell you that you must be with a member to be able to shoot at either the indoor range or the outdoor range. You will not be allowed to shoot on sight if you are not with a member
