It can be the rear axle bearing as my comrade Mr.Errol bailey mentioned. If you would be able to come in for a diagnostic we can go from there.
Grinding sound on axle could be. (1) low brake pads touch the rotor. (2) inner wheel bearings damage. (3) check axle bears at the CV joint. (4) get the vehicle diagnosed for that sound.
It is probably the rear axel bearing, Nissan seems to have a problem with wheel bearings within the range of 90,000 miles to 110,000 this also depends on hard it was driven! The parts are mid-range in prices, depending on where you purchase them.
