I've been shopping at Traders through the whole pandemic. Masks are still requred here in New Mexico. They have been the whole time. The area where your groceries are placed before being bagged is always cleaned. There is of course barriers to keep the staff and you separated when checking out. The carts are wiped diwn after each use. The next time you go to Trader's just look how clean the store is... Hard to beat. As for the lady wearing just a shield. ..not DOH approved. Wearing a mask is. The shield really protects your eyes. Your germs have plenty of room to escape the shield.
They limit the number of customers in the store (you'll probably have to wait in line). Carts are wiped down by employees. They enforce their mask requirement. They wouldn't let a mother and teenaged son come in with the plastic shield. The manager was telling the mom what they could do and she stormed off saying she'd just go to Walmart.
All customers and staff are required to wear masks & social distance. I think the cart handles are disinfected after each use too
