I only ever stop here for the hot bar when I'm coming through town. It never disappoints. The hot food bar is always way better than Omaha's.

Before being bought out by Amazon this was a five star place, good deals to be had, lots of selection from many brands and amazing food bars. But now it's a different place, they got rid of many other brands to replace them with their 365 brands and the pricing for things shot up, even before the recession. The food bars really took a hit in quality, there are some good days but most of the time it is not worth the price. The redeeming quality of this grocery store is the amazing fresh produce, best in Des Moines.

Whole Foods used to have the best pizza when I was growing up I guess all that quality went into Amazon tv shows budget. You can get better food at Kwik Star or Casey’s these days.

I went in for one specific product (which I happily discovered on sale) and left with a few more items as well. The staff in the store was helpful and polite and the store was clean.

I think they used to have one back in the day, but I haven't seen it in a long time. Usually at the front of the store, it wasn't there this evening.
