Yes it's next to a bridge in an industrial area I live in that neighborhood and I've never heard of any criminal activity there.
I've never felt unsafe there. But for a tourist, they might get nervous at night just because it's an industrial area.

Bring your second amendment right because you can, not that you need it. Very worth the travel. You do need to bring cash though.
