She has to start on Winter shelter in order to get a bed with HRC. Check-in time is 5PM. Last year they only took 50 women and 50 men. They will provide a place to sleep in different places. I think they provide breakfast too. You have to go to the HRC to do paperwork. Be aware, last year, some places were infested with bedbugs.
There's 2 shelters, winter shelter and emergency shelter. We've had 18 year olds in both but I've never heard of anyone under that age so that may be a requirement. Winter shelter is a daily scheduled program but being a female is a plus bc they dont turn down females. She just has to sign up and go through an intake process for Winter shelter. Emergency shelter has guaranteed bed but they're limited to spots and most people who get beds have went through the winter shelter program first. Just call if you have more questions (757) 385-5167
