I had to take a friend there but they handled her business

My family and I were homeless and we reached out to the housing crisis center. They gave us a list of numbers to call. One of them was Salvation Army Outreach. They had our case for six months and only gave us two housing leads: one was right by a housing project and it was a rough neighborhood. It had one dinky room unit and they wouldn't put in anymore. The second lead we didn't financially qualify for. Several days ago, Crystal Strong said she was closing our case even though we were still homeless. You won't get any help from them and Crystal is extremely rude. These people are useless. Thank God we were able to find a nice rent to own house.

Clinic is great with friendly faces and Doctor's EXCEPT Renee Delahoussaye she is by far the nastiest MD in her profession. Rude and Condescending and oh she said she cares nothing about anyone's review's.

Statement: saw you have to be a resident of Virginia Beach, but if you are homeless then your not an establishment resident of anywhere correct.

I don't know. Are they residents of the shelter? If so it is offered. If not then I'm not sure.
There is a list if almost all the homeless person in VB. Ask for it at the center. Ask for Diana the volunteer coordinator!
You must fall in a certain income bracket. At or below the amount specified for your families size. At least one member in your family must be a citizen of the US or US national or have eligible immigration status. When you say "housing assistance" are you referring to a housing choice voucher? If so, you can be 100% eligible for one and wait forever to actually receive the assistance. This is because it's not first come first serve. They dish them out based off of priority. They determine priority based off of a point system. Your points are calculated based on how you answer questions in the application. There's low income housing all over Virginia Beach. You just have to Google that specifically. They determine your amount of monthly rent based off your income. You also have to keep checking , separately by City, when they are accepting applications and pay attention to when it closes or cuts off
Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday walk ins from 8am until 12pm. They are full if you have a family, however, you may get some help if you're single.
You have to call the hotline number and or walk in and speak with the front desk
Service dogs I'm not sure about that but things have changed there since the city took over so maybe they will accommodate
Yes
😔😔
Yes but it takes a while
Yes go by there
You don't need a job. You have to sign for winter shelter first.
She has to start on Winter shelter in order to get a bed with HRC. Check-in time is 5PM. Last year they only took 50 women and 50 men. They will provide a place to sleep in different places. I think they provide breakfast too. You have to go to the HRC to do paperwork. Be aware, last year, some places were infested with bedbugs.
Yes! There is also wireless Internet for the residents to use.
