Dr. Pruzansky received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University, and his medical school and orthopedic surgery training at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he earned the Excellence in Patient Care Award. During his chief resident year he was the recipient of the Academic Achievement Award for scoring in the 100th percentile among all orthopaedic surgery residents nationally. Dr. Pruzansky completed his subspecialty fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University at Buffalo, noted for traumatology, reconstructive and microsurgery. Working as a research fellow at the Philadelphia Hand Center, he analyzed the use of surgical antibiotic prophylaxis and new minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of arthritis of the hand and wrist.
