Was the best medical practice in the area. When we first called to make an appointment we were instantly helped and given the opportunity to schedule our appointments. We received a courtesy call the day prior reminding us of our appointments. We arrived at a immaculate facility with convenient on site parking and went through a speedy check-in. The doctor, Dr. Bonanno, promptly called me in and was super professional and a pleasure to speak with. One thing that stood out was he asked how was the wait time to schedule the appt. He cared then about providing 5 star service and that's precisely what was given. However, when results come in do not expect them to review them with you. You are left to figure it out on your own. Update: 10/22 -Fast forward now, visits have become a nightmare. Patients check in after me and get seen first even with later appointments. I was made to wait over an hour just to get in... was enough to cancel and switch my primary doctor. They dont care about your time and appear to overbook or see people out of order.

Honestly this Montefiore facility needs to remove their phone number from their website because they Never! and I mean Never! answer the phone. I’ve had to drive there and in person make appointments. what kind of medical facility does not answer the phone and this is for pediatrics! Ugh! What a joke. Honestly I am considering leaving this place because it should not be this difficult to schedule, change, or cancel appointments! Especially For parents or guardians. Spare me the “use Mychart” chat because that is not the solution to this issue. If that’s the case remove the front desk staff and just have kiosk with MYchart at least people don’t have to waste their time trying to call and be told to call when in fact you’re calling a unanswered line. Now in regards to care it is mediocre. The actual consultation with the pediatrician is short on average and one would think with the inconvenience of the front desk and their work ethics that the consultation would be a reason to stay here but nope! Not worth it - when Astro pediatrics was on Astor avenue in the Bronx it was much better in my opinion, the front desk at that location will in fact answer the phones. The front desk staff at this location is not welcoming, they just stare at their screens until one decides “hey let’s acknowledge the patients waiting on line” and the communication between receptionist, patient(s) and nurse is like if we were all communicating using paper cups and string not very effective. One thing they are great at is making sure your insurance is active and all payments will be processed or collected, now in that department the service is obsolete! One would think they are the IRS or debt collectors.. in a nutshell the first encounter is the most important because it determines the flow and level of service and the front desk here needs major work. overall what a shame.

I have gone to this place because my primary doctor moved to this office, Dr. Peter Agho is very kind and his staff too, but Mrs. Marcela at the reception is a very rude person and with very little knowledge of customer service, it is A person with little service, with a bad expression who does not know how to speak to the other politely, should not be in front of them because they do not have the capacity to speak with anyone. She is rude, I have thought to change places only because of the rudeness of this woman.
