I think you can swim in lake Logan, and the animals are there but don't pose much of a threat.
Well the info said there's swimming there in Hocking Hills. So all the dangerous animals like the coyotes and black bears are more afraid of humans than we are afraid of them. I heard that a lot. I also read that there's possums and even skunks in The Hills. Are they bird watching there too? I heard there's owls and eagles there too.
I believe that the animal aspect has been covered. It is a very busy place and seeing these particular creatures would be considered very rare. As for swimming, there are no swimming signs posted but just about everyone gets in the water that collects at the bottom of the falls. There are local camp grounds and Lake Logan that do offer a nice place to take a dip.
Black bears aren't terribly agressive and would be likely to run from you unless its a momma with cubs. Also we don't have that many, and as was stated above, there's so much activity they dont frenquent populated areas. We have coyotes, but not wolves that i'm aware of.coyotes stay away from people also.
I have never seen wildlife like that there!! Its usually pretty busy so if there is any, they would stay away!! I wouldn't think there would be anywhere to swim!! Just go and enjoy the hiking!! It's so beautiful in there!!
No worries. Go enjoy
I don't believe you have much to fear as far as the wildlife you mentioned..... Hocking hills is a vast area and i believe there is enough activity going on they would avoid those areas..... But... Beware of deer traveling.... i have seen lots of those!!!!
Wildlife exists everywhere no matter where ya go. But your chances of meeting up with a dangerous one is always slim because most actively avoid humans. As for swimming... Not really something I suggest anyone to do anywhere in the "wild"... No telling what is being drained into them anymore...
