We stay here 3-4 times per year and love it. We drive 2.5 hours from Cincinnati. Some sites are easy to get to from the parking lot. Some are a bit of a hike. But it's nice. Bathrooms are your typical nasty pit toilets but that's alright not terrible. We bring our own toilet (little green tent) with us though cuz my wife refuses to use them. Update: after the last 3 times we will not go back. Each of these last 3 times, near or after midnight, some local teenagers roared up in big trucks, blaring music, blocked the gate, and proceeded to drink and party very loudly until the sun came up. No one we called or reached out to via the website seemed to care.

Best campsites in Hocking Hills but you are still fairly close to neighboring campsite. The actual campsites are very hard rocky dirt with no grass to set your tent on.

Very quite, nice campsites most of them seem level others not so much. You may have to carry your gear a distance so either pack light or bring a wagon. only has outhouses!!! And they are atrocious smelling!!!

Very well kept and most of the campsites were well off the main trail. We hammock camped so we only packed what we typically do in our backpacks, but others used wagons to bring in their items. I recommend getting there early enough for multiple loads so you aren't causing disturbances when bringing your wagon on the trail at 10pm ðĪŠ the toilets don't have lids or proper composting, so they smell. I recommend camping near, but not right up close to them. The fire pits had grills which would have been nice to use!

Yes, walk-in campers can use any of the showers in the main campsite area.
We paid $30 for walk in only. You park in lot and pack tent to site.
No
No, a reservation and payment are required
Pit latrines are along the trail for the hike in campsites, located every few campsites maybe three or four sets along the trail- each spot has a 'mens' and 'womens' which usually have a lot of TP left behind, no power though so bring your flashlight! They foolishly don't have lids to close but the smell hasn't been too bad the times we've been.
Stop at the camp office to register
Primitive walk-in camping does not allow cars. You'll have to park your car and walk all your camping gear ~approx 20 yards to 0.6 mile hike.
