I went to ship island 7 20 the water was fine your 11 miles out

All ages. Not sure if the water in the gulf is swimmable.

All ages... I'd be cautious when brining a child under 2. They'll have fun! But the sun reflecting off the water can sunburn ya even in the shade before ya even know it !! We've brought our grandchildren out there from when they were @ 1yr old... I kept them coated in sunscreen and never had a problem
