I want to have my LVN license renewed. I'm 64 years old and i need to supplement my income. Its been 6 years. What steps would I have to take?

Depends on several rhimgs... the status now... is it delinquent or inactive? Have you kept up with your education requirement? Have you practiced in another state in the last 6 years? Is Texas your home state, where you were originally credentialed?? You mist likely will have to go thrua refresher program. And then apply for a temporary license that is good foe 6 mo. During that time you badically redo a preset clinical curriculum set forth by the refresher program director. If you have not worked as a nurse for 4 years they require a 6 month refresher course. Just getting them to respond is extremely ineffective. Persistence is the name of the game!
