Depends on several rhimgs... the status now... is it delinquent or inactive? Have you kept up with your education requirement? Have you practiced in another state in the last 6 years? Is Texas your home state, where you were originally credentialed?? You mist likely will have to go thrua refresher program. And then apply for a temporary license that is good foe 6 mo. During that time you badically redo a preset clinical curriculum set forth by the refresher program director. Who got her instructions from the bon ; ) my friend did this 2 years ago... after 20 years. And she is doing great! Here is a link.. good luck. https://www.bon.texas.gov/licensure_renewal.asp
If you have not worked as a nurse for 4 years they require a 6 month refresher course. Just getting them to respond is extremely ineffective. Persistence is the name of the game!
