They cannot answer the phone during hours when they are doing surgery. There are simply hundreds of animals going through per day. I'm sure all of this was explained when you dropped your animal off as they are very thorough. I think the pickup time is 3:30 or so. Also, if there were complications they would've contacted you themselves.
Jeremy is right. I took my miniature poodle. They do explain EVERYTHING thoroughly so its BEST to get there on time to get a seat or you'll be standing. Its takes about 20 minutes or and at pick the going home instructions are about the same. Some of the doggies were energetic and ready to go like my poodle was (I thought she'd be drowsy) and some were just sleepy and ready for a nap. But you have nothing to worry about.
Jeremy Post gave you the answer.
I have used the spay & neuter in Charlotte . I know you are concerned over your baby. The vet will call you or she did both times mine were there for surgery. Try to relax because your baby is in excellent care. The vet techs will stay with your baby till she comes out of anesthesia. Hope this helps but I can say this because I trust these people. I go to the LKN Spay & Neuter in Mooresville. They are all super and love these babies that come in. Good Luck
Leave a message, they will call you back.
I cannot give you a number I do not work for the spade and neuter clinic and I do not know if you went to the Pineville office or the one on Davison but they do not answer phone calls during the day when they're doing spade and neuters they should have explained all of this to you when you dropped your dog off this morning and when you pick him up or her up this afternoon they will give you a packet explaining everything and medication and a cone if you ordered one. I have used them on several occasions they are very good but they do not have time to answer the phone when everyone is trying to get sometimes a hundred dogs and cats spayed and neutered in one day.
